The eki-melo that plays at Kamata Station on the Keihin-Tohoku line. According to my nerdy CD booklet, this song plays for the departing train on tracks 3 and 4 - Shinagawa and Tokyo Station-bound trains.

This melody was the theme song of the 1982 movie Kamata Koshin-Kyoku (released in English as The Fall Guy) directed by Fukasaku Kinji (Battle Royale). I became mysteriously attached to it when we stayed at a ryokan in Kamata in 2008. The sound of the melody starting to play before we got through the ticketing gate caused the Pavlovian effect of flying down the stairs before the train doors closed.

And yes, I rented the movie because of the stupid station song. >_>;
